Cross Country Success
We had an amazing success story in the County Cross Country finals last weekend at Wollaton Park. Two of our girls, Sophia and Lily, who did so well in qualifying for the finals, managed to come 58th and 23rd in the county! Even more amazing is that Sophia and Lily are in Year 4 and they were competing in a Year 5&6 competition. Well done girls! You have very exciting running careers ahead!
Hopefully you all received a letter regarding our new childcare provision for school holidays starting this February half term. We do still have spaces available so please call our school office if you are in need of some ‘child free’ time in the holidays!
If you haven't already ‘liked’ our new Facebook page, Blidworth Oaks Primary School, please do so because we are hoping to post more and more information on there about what is happening at our school.
Safer Internet Day—2019
We marked national Internet Safety Day at our school this week by holding assemblies and taking part in a range of class based activities aimed at ensuring our children are prepared to for using the internet safely and responsibly. A lot of the work this year focused on the meaning and importance of ‘consent’ and also how crucial it is not to be giving our full names or important details such as our school name to other people we don’t know.
In case you didn’t see it, we posted a link on our Facebook page to a short safer internet quiz that you can take a as a family to see how clued up you with what your children are able to do while gaming or using tablet technology. Please take a look!
